In 1904 he died at age 54, several months after Hugh Edward Sproule Sr.'s mother died. Robert was married twice; Hugh, Sr. is from is second marriage ( Ellen Henry).

    Grandpa Glissman (my father) was born in Barnstedt, Holstein Germany on April 12 - 1862, died February 27 - 1938 age 75 years, 10 mo. and 15 da.

    Came to America when 18 yrs of age. Settled at Clinton Iowa. Then moved to Bancroft Nebr. in 1882 where he worked on a farm. In 1884 he started farming near Athens (now Pender). Married to Katherine Smith on Apr 9 - 1889.

    My Grandfather was John Glissman, born in Quickborn Germany August 4 - 1825. He served in War with Denmark in 1848. Came to Neb. From Germany in 1884. Died at Sioux City Hospital Jan 14 - 1901 Age 75 yrs. 5 mo. & 10 days.

    My mother's parents were Hendrick Geert Smith, Died July 1986 (Birthdate I do not know). Her mother was Pieterje Frankas Zwaga. Was married to Hendrick G. Smith Born June 2 - 1826, died March 11 - 1925.
